Cutwater Inn & Suites

This simple "boutique" hotel is such a delight. Great bathroom (huge tub!) with excellent water pressure, easy check in, and lovely rooms that have just enough sea-coast charm. The location is great...but note that there's no parking on the property. (It's easy to park in Newburyport, but you'll need to walk a couple blocks.) The room also included a big-screen TV with all the streaming services. Perfect for the oldsters who don't go out at night :).

What a great property! The location is perfect - you can walk to EVERYTHING.....the accommodations were incredible, too...we had a three bedroom suite and I have to say that the mattresses and pillow were AMAZING....even the pull out couch was super comfy. The property's decor and design are very modern and fitting for the area, and it was very clean as well. The host was very responsive and the instructions were easy to follow. All of the little extras (coffees, teas, snacks, etc.) were such a great touch. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at this property and if ever back in town will definitely stay here again.

Our overnight stay was seamless and perfect. Great location, immaculate, quiet, well thought out “details” including a great selection of self serve snacks, coffee and tea. I like that it’s tasteful and accommodating without being overdone with “stuff.” We’ll be back!

We were in town for a wedding and Cutwater was the perfect spot for us! Although there isn't any staff on site, there was very clear communication regarding check in, check out, parking, etc. Also, our room came with an informative binder for any other questions. We didn't have any issue parking our car and were easily able to walk from the Cutwater to the 'downtown' area. Pro tip: try to request a room on the second floor (we were able to hear heavy foot steps and the front door of the property opening/closing throughout our stay). We would definitely return!

We stayed here for a "night away from kids" and it was lovely. The rooms were well kept. Bathroom was very large. Very quiet even being on the first floor. Bed was comfy but pillows were too plush and sink so maybe bring your own? Kitchen area was well stocked with coffee, treats and really liked the bottle filling station. Super easy walking to anything downtown and parking at the garage for 24hrs was ideal. Don't try to find free parking the garage is only a block away. We will be coming here again!

Fresh, clean and comfortable! The bed and pillows were top notch, in fact, everything was. Super cool nautical themed rooms. Easy walk to restaurants and entertainment. Nice patio for an outside coffee or tea. They have a free snack bar with a few items in case you get the munchies and don’t feel like going out. Nice choice of teas, coffees and a water filling station.

The Cutwater Inn was amazing. The rooms were very clean and the location is close to everything. We walked around town with ease. The staff was extremely helpful when we had a little hiccup and took care of the issue. We highly recommend the Cutwater Inn. Patty K.

The room (Crow's Nest Suite) was really nice and clean. My spouse would have liked to have another mirror other than just the bathroom sink mirror. Hanging one on the back of one of the doors would have been nice. The only complaint with the room is the A/C vent blows directly at the beds. You can only close them off. They should have adjustable directional vents so they don't blow on your face all night long. Parking wasn't much of an issue except for initially loading. If you travel light no issue with parking.
